Exhibition Design & Graphic Design
Permanent Installation - Now on View
Art of the Ancient Mediterranean: Egypt, Greece & Rome documents the Newark Museum's premiere collection of classical antiquities spanning 2,500 years. The exhibition organized by consulting curator Clare P. Fitzgerald PhD, explores the objects of everyday life from the ancient world and how multiculturalism is not just a modern phenomenon. The Newark Museum boasts one of the finest collections of ancient glass dating from 1500 BCE to 1400 AD and offers a visual history of the evolution of glass technology in Egypt, Greece and Rome. Also featured is the Museum's Egyptian collection. The mummy case of Henet-Mer, one of our viewers favorites, becomes a focal point and centerpiece of the installation.
