Annie Leibovitz: Pilgrimage was a new direction for the well known fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz. Between April 2009 and May 2011 between work and vacations Annie photographed things that piqued her curiosity including landscapes, interiors and the objects that become evocative of the past. Subjects also included Eleanor Roosevelt, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louisa May Alcott, and Martha Graham, The exhibition included a family guide that included historical information written by () as well as questions and additional visuals.
